It figures...
I got a phone call today from another school. Talk about waiting till the last minute. I'm trying to set up an interview for tomorrow, but I'm having trouble getting through the phone system.

Just when I thought I was going to have to substitute teach for another semester, I got a call from my friend, Jen. Her school lost 3 English teachers the week before. She told her principal about me, and she told her to tell me to call her. So I did last Friday. I thought I would've heard from them this morning, but I didn't. So I got worried again, and called Jen.
However, I did something a little adventurous today. I was surfing around the net at other districts and called Grossmont about a job posting. The job just happened to be at a school that I was interested in, Mt. Miguel. So I dropped off an application. What have I got to loose? I'm waiting around the phone anyway.
Does this town even need teachers? I can get a job today in Los Angeles, San Jose, San Francisco, and Hawaii, even in Las Vegas...but the districts here are just waiting till the last minute. So I'll be stressed the first week when I'm hired.
WOO-HOO!
Okay, maybe not this week, but hopefully next week. They sure are taking their sweet time.
Supposedly, I should be getting some calls next week, considering the new school year starts in three weeks.
School starts in about a month and I'm still waiting for that phone call. This is the most frustrating part.
I got called last night, 3 times, for a sub job. Then the system called me again this morning, 3 times. I'm tired from moving my friend's stuff yesterday and I need to go get my photo taken for an ID card with the Sweetwater district. Right now it's all a waiting game for interviews. But I have two leads right now that I hope will pan out. So it's a matter of waiting and being patient.
